Care inspection fees set to rise

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is going to increase the amount it charges health and social care providers, after it launched a new consultation on proposed changes.

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is going to increase the amount it charges health and social care providers, after it launched a new consultation on proposed changes.

Government rules state the CQC has to meet the full costs of regulating NHS Trusts, care homes and community social care centres from the fees it charges the providers themselves, which are currently subsidised by Whitehall.
