Care minister, Norman Lamb, this week launched a consultation to establish a set of quality standards and guidance for social care to be overseen by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE).

The Department of Health is seeking ideas for NICE guidance in areas such as falls, deprivation of liberty safeguards and medicines management in home-based settings.
