Care system 'rife' with unqualified employees

A BBC investigation has claimed the social care system in England is rife with unqualified staff.

The social care system in England is rife with unqualified staff and care providers who do not carry out criminal records checks, a BBC investigation has claimed.

Figures obtained by the BBC from the Care Quality Commission (CQC), which regulates care in England, revealed that 217 home care providers were employing unqualified workers.
