Councils will find it ‘impossible' to protect adult social care funding following central government cuts, adult social services chiefs have warned.

In a warning to both ministers and other public sector agencies, the president of the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS), Richard Jones, said the only way out of the current crisis was to radically change current working practices.
