A local government contractor has served notice on a third council over unacceptable carers’ pay, as London boroughs take action on deals for social workers.

Mears Group said it would end a contract with Sefton MBC over new rates for homecare workers, which it claimed would lead to ‘unworkable pay and conditions'.
