Carillion move for Wates chief

Construction company Wates lost its chief executive to struggling rival Carillion last week, just four days after Carillion decided to sell its healthcare arm to public services provider Serco.

Construction company Wates lost its chief executive to struggling rival Carillion last week, just four days after Carillion decided to sell its healthcare arm to public services provider Serco.

Andrew Davies, the chief executive at Wates Group since 2014, is due to join Carillion in April next year. Carillion's interim chief executive, Keith Cochrane, will continue to lead the company until then.
