Carlisle seeks new chief executive

Arrangements are now under way to recruit a new town clerk and chief executive for Carlisle City Council.

Arrangements are now under way to recruit a new town clerk and chief executive for Carlisle City Council.

The decision was taken following the retirement of town clerk and chief executive, Maggie Mooney, who will leave the council in late August. As an interim replacement, Jason Gooding, deputy chief executive and strategic director will succeed Ms Mooney. He will stay in post until a permanent replacement is found.
