Making a case for smaller Government

Simon Parker says it’s time for smaller, reformed central Government departments – and fewer of them – and a thorough debate about whether the nation can afford such large Government when frontline services are being slashed.

There is an account on Twitter called You Had One Job which showcases amusing examples of incompetence. Specsavers vans that have crashed into lamp posts, supermarkets which have somehow placed a sign saying ‘baby products' above the booze aisle, road markings which say ‘turn left' but have an arrow pointing right...That sort of thing.

I sometimes check to see if the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has made it on to this site yet.
