The deputy chief executive of Aylesbury Vale DC has claimed his district is ‘ideologically' different to its neighbours as the local authority continues its bid for unitary status.

 In a report going before Aylesbury Vale DC's cabinet on 10 February, Jon McGinty said the local authority was both ‘demographically and ideologically different' to other councils in the southern part of Buckinghamshire.
