Former government housing adviser Dame Louise Casey has hit out at the ‘incompetence' of how the COVID crisis has been managed.

Speaking to the BBC, she said it was ‘crazy' that Newcastle City Council leader, Cllr Nick Forbes, had only heard about his local lockdown when it was announced on social media.
