Louise Casey, has hit back at criticisms that the coalition's flagship programme is behind schedule.

Louise Casey, the Government's troubled families tsar, has hit back at criticisms that the coalition's flagship programme is behind schedule – and claims councils are on target, following the first year.

In an interview with The MJ this week, Ms Casey denied claims that councils were failing to find enough families to support through intensive programmes, and said ‘most' authorities had identified their share of the 41,000 families expected to be engaged in year one of the programme.
