Chief executives caught in the middle of a political row on social care this week have argued one-off cash boosts will not be enough.

Spokeswoman for community wellbeing at the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives, Jo Farrar, who is chief executive of Bath & North East Somerset Council, said individual funding announcements were not a ‘sufficient answer to the wider challenge facing us'.
