Let's cash in on teamwork

The DCLG’s Simon Ridley discusses how four technical papers will help steer authorities through the latest spending round.

As is always the case the spending round focused on new budgets and policy reform headlines without the level of detail that practitioners in local government want to see.

Overall, following the spending round commitments, local spending will change by just 2.3% in 2015-16. But, here at the Department of Communities and Local Government (DCLG) we know the premium that extra detail holds for councils wanting to plan over several years.
