The director of the County Councils Network (CCN) has announced that she is retiring after a ‘successful and enjoyable 10 years' with the organisation.

Dr Caroline Cunningham said CCN's profile had ‘never been higher' but added now was a ‘good time to step down' with less than a year to the General Election.
