The open data agenda is becoming more mainstream across public sector organisations as the strategic benefits are being recognised, such as enabling closer working with outside organisations, as well as leveraging the innovation and effort of outside organisations on public sector priorities.

However, when it comes to specific releases it isn't always easy to demonstrate the impact and, the longer this goes on, the harder it becomes to justify continuing them.
