Chance to have say in Care Act countdown survey

Head of policy and campaigns for Independent Age, Andrew Kaye, urges adult social services directors to take part in a survey in the run up to implementation of the Care Act.

If Gordon Brown's 2009 proposal to provide free personal care at home is anything to go by, consultations on care are best launched early on in a Parliament, when there's a greater chance of the reforms actually getting enacted.

This week the Department of Health published its consultation on how people in England can pay for their care.
