A leading healthcare charity has raised concerns about the future of the NHS Health Check programme which will be handed to local authorities next year.

Diabetes UK said the programme – offered to everyone aged between 40 and 74 to check for the risk of diabetes, heart disease and kidney failure – was already suffering from poor implementation across the country.
