Charity praises South Tyneside's support for blind

The Royal National Institute of Blind People has praised South Tyneside Council for supporting blind and partially-sighted residents.

The Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) has praised South Tyneside Council for helping support blind and partially-sighted residents.

The charity said the local authority had taken a ‘person-centric' approach by ensuring information and council facilities were fully available to all, and working with a local group, Sight Service.
