Charity warns of wrong care advice for elderly

Relatives and carers are becoming increasingly concerned that older people are being given the wrong advice by councils, according to the charity Counsel and Care.

The charity helpline warned last week it was receiving more calls from families, carers and older people who were concerned about the advice they were being given when they asked the local authority for a care assessment.
