The Chartered Institute of Housing has announced the appointment of a new director of policy and practice.

The Chartered Institute of Housing has announced the appointment of Gavin Smart as its new director of policy and practice. He joins CIH from the National Housing Federation where he was assistant director, research and futures, and brings with him substantial housing experience and knowledge. Mr Smart will be assuming his new role on 2 April 2012.
