The Local Government Association (LGA) has echoed concerns over the Government's alcohol strategy, raised by an influential group of MPs on 19 July.

Published in March this year, the strategy's ‘focus on public order overshadows health issues', the Commons' health committee warned, adding a ‘greater emphasis' on the ‘insidious and pervasive' health impacts of alcohol was needed.
