Michael Burton talks to Erika Wenzel, chief executive of The MJ award-winning Cheshire East.

The two unitaries that split the old county of Cheshire are called, unsurprisingly, Cheshire East and Cheshire West. The former now covers the area previously administered by the three districts of Macclesfield, Crewe and Congleton and its first employee was its new chief executive Erika Wenzel appointed in 2008.
