Cheshire West and Chester recommends new chief

Gerald Meehan has been recommended as the new chief executive of Cheshire West and Chester Council.

Gerald Meehan has been recommended as the new chief executive of Cheshire West and Chester Council.

If voted through by members on May 19, Mr Meehan will take on the role in July following the departure of current chief executive Steve Robinson.

Mr Meehan has held the role of joint strategic director of children's services at Cheshire West and Chester and Halton councils since 2011.
