Chief cleared over resignation request

Cornwall Council’s chief executive Andrew Kerr’s request for a councillor who posed a ‘serious risk to children’ to resign was ‘not inappropriate’, an independent review has found.

Alex Folkes, who denies claims against him that led to his arrest without charge in 2006, resigned from the cabinet last year, but is still a councillor.
