Chief exec pay under renewed scrutiny

Chief executives have yet again been forced to defend their salaries – this time in the face of concerns levelled by Local Government Association (LGA) chairman Lord Porter.

Chief executives have yet again been forced to defend their salaries – this time in the face of concerns levelled by Local Government Association (LGA) chairman Lord Porter.

Lord Porter said he was ‘not happy' with the level of pay and compared them to top footballers who also ‘get paid a lot of money'.
