Chief Executive / Assistant Chief Executive

c.£93k

Twice the challenge. Twice the opportunity. This dual role offers the opportunity to lead a district council that has pioneered innovative service delivery models and also to be part of the management team of a large county council.

This exciting partnership offers an unparalleled professional opportunity.

As Chief Executive of Selby District Council you'll provide the leadership and strategic direction that will consolidate our move to a commissioning model of delivery and explore new opportunities for partnerships and improved service delivery to our residents. As Assistant Chief Executive of North Yorkshire County Council you'll take on a Communities brief with an emphasis on delivering higher quality localised services.

It's a broad remit that will allow you to develop an enviable breadth of senior management experience. You'll need to demonstrate credibility and versatility and the need for effective balance between the two roles will require careful and sensitive management skills.
