Wigan chief executive Donna Hall is set to become the new chair of think-tank, the New Local Government Network (NLGN).

Ms Hall, a member of the NLGN board since March, will take up the role after she leaves Wigan MBC in February, having served for eight years as chief executive. She succeeds Dame Jane Roberts, who has chaired the board since 2013.
