Chief executive of North Somerset Council to retire

Graham Turner, chief executive of North Somerset Council, has announced his intention to retire in November 2013.

Graham Turner, chief executive of North Somerset Council, has announced his intention to retire in November 2013, after over 24 years service with the council and 12 as chief executive.

He has given six months notice of his retirement to give the council the opportunity of finding a successor before he leaves. The recruitment process will be agreed at a meeting of the council, with a view to an appointment in July.
