New chief executive at Plymouth City Council

A new chief executive has been appointed at Plymouth City Council.

Plymouth City Council has named Tracey Lee as its new chief executive to replace Barry Keel who has retired after seven years.

Ms Lee is currently chief executive of Newport City Council in Wales, where she has delivered a transformation programme to save £36m over three years and was part of the team to attract the 2010 Ryder Cup to Newport.
