New chief executive recruited at HMRC

Former Suffolk CC chief executive, Lin Homer, has been appointed as chief executive of Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC).

Former Suffolk CC chief executive, Lin Homer, has been appointed as chief executive of Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs (HMRC).

Mrs Homer helped set up the UK Border Agency (UKBA) and was its first chief executive. The agency is now being dismantled by the home secretary. She left the UKBA in 2010 to become permanent secretary at the Department for Transport.
