Chief Executive up to £163,000

As a Council, we have transformed how we deliver services over the last three years and visionary, committed leadership is essential as we look to capitalise in the future on opportunities for innovative reform.

We are not looking for the 'traditional' Chief Executive; we are looking for an entrepreneurial individual who will drive the transformation of our Council.

As Head of Paid Service you will:

  • Lead the Council's Management Team in driving forward the strategic agenda, set by Cabinet; Improving the efficiency and performance of the council, ensuring that our community receive high quality, value for money services.
  • Act as an inspirational ambassador for the Council, leading the formation and development of partnerships which deliver improved outcomes for the city.

We are looking for an inspirational leader who can demonstrate the following:

  • Significant experience gained in a large complex service-based organisation, preferably within a senior management team of a unitary or similar authority.
  • Demonstrable success in leading major organisational and cultural change, delivering transformation and innovation in the way in which our services are delivered.
