Chief executives demand same pay rise as employees

The trade union for council chief executives has demanded employers give them the same pay rise as other local government staff.

The trade union for council chief executives has demanded employers give them the same pay rise as other local government staff.

In July, unions Unison, GMB and Unite demanded a 10% pay rise, a one-day increase in annual leave, a two-hour reduction in the working week, and a review of workplace stress and mental health.
