Chief Officer: Customer Services (Bracknell Forest)

Bracknell Forest Council wish to appoint a Chief Officer: Customer Services.

At Bracknell Forest we have a strong commitment to good customer service which has grown and developed over the last six years to see high satisfaction levels from residents and one of the highest levels of website use in the country. We want to build on these strengths to provide even better value for money for our residents.

Key duties will include:

* leading and managing the development of Customer Services across the Council, using all access channels and in particular lead the Council's Channel Strategy to reduce contact costs across all access channels; web services; contact centre and reception areas
* implementing and developing the corporate Customer Contact Strategy, which includes the use of the corporate Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system
* providing financial advice and information to Councillors, Chief Officers, other officers and external groups relating to customer service delivery and local taxes
* responsibility for Revenue Services, which includes the billing and recovery of council tax and business rates, and Cashier Services.

Following the retirement of the current post holder, the challenge for this post is to maintain our high levels of customer service for residents whilst continuing to manage the change to more cost effective access channels. You will be supported in this by a strong team working with you and you will also have the support of senior colleagues and elected members who are committed to providing good service to our residents.'
