Mike McGaughrin has taken up the post of chief operating officer to head up Windsor and Maidenhead RBC's new multi-service directorate, which will make access to council services easier and deliver better value for money.

Cllr David Burbage, council leader, said: 'Mr McGaughrin's background is in the private sector, and he brings a wealth of experience at a time when we are increasingly adopting successful business methods for providing excellent customer service which puts residents first and helps to maintain low council tax.'
