Adult social service directors have expressed their frustration at the speed of the Law Commission's ‘long overdue' review of Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS).

According to a recent report by the Care Quality Commission, the number of applications for DoLS has increased tenfold after deprivation of liberty was freshly defined by the Supreme Court.
