The trade union for council chief executives has rejected the ‘very disappointing’ pay offer to their members.

The trade union for council chief executives has rejected the ‘very disappointing' pay offer to their members.

In a statement, the Association of Local Authority Chief Executives and Senior Managers (ALACE) complained the 1% offer for 2018/19 only was inferior to the local government pay deal agreed with the rest of the sector, worth 2% a year for two years.
