Child poverty strategy 'missing' in most areas

Leading charity warns most of England's local authorities are flouting their legal duty by not having a child poverty strategy in place.

Most of England's local authorities are flouting their legal duty by not having a child poverty strategy in place, a leading charity has warned.

Research published by the 4Children charity on 30 April suggested that just 74 out of England's authorities had a child poverty strategy in place – despite a legal requirement under the Child Poverty Act 2010.
