Top childcare 'denied to most deprived'

A think-tank warns, families in deprived local authorities are not as likely to access top childcare compared to those from affluent areas.

Families in the most deprived local authorities are half as likely to access top childcare compared with those in the most affluent areas, a think-tank warned this week.

A report by the Policy Exchange on 28 January, Quality childcare found a wide disparity in childcare provision across local authorities in England, resulting in a legacy of slower development for children in poorer areas.
