The new president of the Association of Directors of Children's Services (ADCS) has pledged to focus on the needs of children and young people, as the sector implements a range of new government policies.

Debbie Jones, who is also director of children's services at Lambeth LBC, said the organisation would focus on a partnership approach over the next year.
