The number of children at risk of abuse has soared by 80% since 2002, figures released yesterday have revealed.

The number of children at risk of abuse has soared by 80% since 2002, figures released yesterday have revealed.

According to the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children's (NSPCC) How safe are our children? report revealed 570,800 children were referred to social services in England in 2013/14, the highest number since the data was first collected in 2010.
