Children's chief resigns after Ofsted report

Damning Ofsted report on safeguarding leads to departure of Peterborough City Council’s head of children’s services.

A damning Ofsted report finding failures in Peterborough City Council's safeguarding of vulnerable young people has led to the resignation of its head of children's services.

The report , released this morning, found continued institutional failures in the children services team, after two previous critical reports in March 2010 and February 2011, and failed the department in seven out of nine categories.
