Children's commissioner adds to calls for Universal Credit pause

The children’s commissioner Anne Longfield will ask the Treasury to pause the rollout of Universal Credit (UC) for families with children.

The children's commissioner Anne Longfield will ask the Treasury to pause the rollout of Universal Credit (UC) for families with children.

Giving evidence to the Education Committee today, Ms Longfield said that UC was not trialled on families with children before the rollout began.
