It is ‘absolutely critically important' that children's services are at the table in discussions about partnership working within integrated care systems (ICS), says an NHS policy expert.

Speaking on the final day of the Association of Directors of Children's Services virtual conference, Sarah Brown of the NHS England and NHS Improvement Children and Young People's Mental Health (CYPMH) programme said the NHS no longer does ‘top down directives around the way that local services should be organised'.
