Bracknell Forest Council has appointed a new chief officer – children's social care, to take over from Penny Reuter, who is due to retire this month.

Lorna Hunt is joining Bracknell from West Berkshire Council, where she been working since 1996, and where she is currently head of children's services. She will take up her new role towards the end of June.
