Children's services progress 'slow and uneven'

Ofsted has described the progress of Reading BC to improve its children’s services as ‘slow, uneven and not always sustained’.

Ofsted has described the progress of Reading BC to improve its children's services as ‘slow, uneven and not always sustained'.

The visit in June was the inspectorate's second since children's social care and early help services were transferred to council-owned company Brighter Futures for Children (BFfC) in December and their ninth since Reading's performance was rated inadequate in 2016.
