The joint chief executive of Chiltern and South Bucks DCs, Alan Goodrum, has announced he will retire in mid-June after 40 years in local government.

Mr Goodrum began his career as a planner with Durham County Council, and worked at several authorities before joining Chiltern DC in 1996.

Chiltern and South Bucks DC have shared the role of chief executive since February 2012.
