Casino Advisory Panel has announced that 27 councils are vying to build Britain's first ‘super' casino. The panel this week published the list of all the councils which had applied for licences to build regional, large or small casinos.

A total of 68 authorities applied to be one of the locations for the one regional ‘super' casino, eight large or eight small casinos – with 27 applying for the regional and 41 applying for the large and small.
