Good news is like the proverbial London bus for home secretary James Cleverly.

After the Government recently forced its Rwanda plan through the House of Lords and into law, the Home Office failed to include its controversial plan for asylum housing on a former military base in Cleverly's Braintree constituency… just in time for him to contest his General Election seat.
