Church calls for restoration of social care funding

The Church of England has laid out a central role for councils as it called for a national covenant to fix the social care system.

The Church of England has laid out a central role for councils as it called for a national covenant to fix the social care system.

Its Reimagining Care Commission report suggested councils take the lead in a ‘bottom-up' dialogue to ‘strike a new relationship between public services and local people,' which ‘promotes a positive vision for care and support and makes the case for why change is needed'.
