CIPFA survey shows tax hike highest in south east

Councils in the south east have the largest hike in council tax in England, according to the annual survey by the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA).

Councils in the south east have the largest hike in council tax in England, according to the annual survey by the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy's (CIPFA). 

Across the rest of England, the average rise hit 0.8% or £11.35.
